Do Ariat Boots Run Big or Small?

Ariat has been making its name for stylish cowboy boots and comes with a perfect fit to satisfy customers. They have been making a name in making cowboy boots that suit the customers’ best interests and needs regarding comfort, protection, and style.

That is why they make sure that each shoe they create leaves an excellent impression on their valued customers. It might be your first time purchasing new pair of Ariat boots, but you have no idea about its sizing guide and if it runs big or small.

Ariat boots run slightly bigger than their size compared to other boot brands. When purchasing one, the best thing to do is buy a half size smaller than the actual size of your boots. You may be able to view their sizing guide for your reference.

It is essential to know your correct size to avoid buying a larger or a smaller one. Also, to lessen your hassle of returning the incorrect shoe size. If you have further inquiries about the sizing, I have prepared information pieces for you to check. Please read them below.

Are Ariat boots true to size?

Ariat boots are true to size because they indicate the exact size of their boots with their sizing guide. However, Ariat boots run slightly larger than your average shoe size. Remember that shoe size is not the same as boot size. Make sure that you need to go a half size down when buying Ariat boots.

How should Ariat fit?

Since Ariat boots run a half size larger than your standard shoe size, remember that well-fitting boots should snugly fit on the heels. There should be minimal movement or lift as you walk or move. This is because boots that perfectly fit must flex when walking, and your heel must lift slightly but not excessively.

When using a new pair of Ariat boots, you may feel a little stiffer sole that might seem uncomfortable. However, after breaking in the shoes, the sole will flex and make you feel comfortable in the long run.

Please note that the ball of your foot must fit into the broadest part of the boot, indicating a proper arc length. Also, there must be adequate room for the toe. This means that the toe should sit flat and accessible. Moreover, boots shot should have a snug-fitting over the instep, from the top too since the boots have no lace or buckles.

How Do you Fit Ariat Cowboy Boots?

Ariat boots come in various designs and styles of boots. That is why fitting incorrectly with the proper boots can be a little tricky since you need to consider following a few steps guides below to get you started on finding the perfect fit for you.

Step 1 Put your Boots on

In fitting a new pair of boots, the first thing that you need to do is to slide your foot inside the boot shaft. You may use the pull tabs of pull holes to pull your foot inside the boot.

You may feel a slight resistance coming from the arch area when pulling your foot inside the boots. After that, you hear a popping noise as your foot enters its resting place.

Step 2 Confirm the Amount of Heel Lift.

Always check the slight heel lift of the boots when wearing your boots. If you do not know the heel lift, it is the gap between the insole of your boots and your heel. There must be little room from your arc to the area of the boots.

The remaining space should not exceed 1/8 of an inch. The area is significant to have a proper and comfortable fit while wearing the boots. You may feel slight resistance in the boots’ arc area when pulling the boots. Having a small resistance is not bad as it allows your feet to have a snug fit. The slight resistance ensures that your foot’s heel has an appropriate heel lift.

Step 3 Check the Boot Fit

Once the boots have been worn, ensure the comfort you feel while wearing one. Note that the widest part of the ball of your foot should rest perfectly on the broadest part of the boot’s outsole.

Step 4 Measure the distance from the end of toes to the end of the Boots

Once your foot has successfully slid inside the boots, you need to double-check the comfort of your feet. You can stand up in your boots and use your thumb to measure the space. Place your thumb sideways to measure the distance of the tip of your toes to the end of the boots.

There must be one thumb with distance from the end of your toes to the edge of the boots. Remember that there are diverse types of toes; that is why it is essential to measure the length by ensuring that there is a sideway thumb distance from the tip of your toe to the end of the boot’s toe box.

Step 5 Walk Around

One of the best ways to make sure that your boots have a comfortable fit is by walking them around. Whether you are trying that in-store or at home, make sure to walk it around to ensure a correct heel lift. Note that the ideal space for heel lift is 1/8 of an inch. Your boots will feel large and clunky if you exceed more than that. If your measurement is lower than 1/8 of an inch, it will make your boots feel too tight.

Not wearing socks may affect the overall fit of the boots. It is recommended that you use a good boot sock when fitting your boots. Remember that the socks you will use while providing in the boots must also be the socks you will use regularly or when working. If you prefer wearing thick socks, consider adding the boot size; you may need a more snug fit if you like thin socks.

Do Ariat boots come in wide width?

Ariat has a lot of different cowboy boots styles and designs, and they too have boots for wider feet. If you prefer to buy boots with broader width, you can see width options. You can choose whether medium width or wide width.

Ariat has a lot of boot options that come with a variety of widths. You may choose from B- Medium, C- Wide, D-Medium, EE- Wide. B-Narrow, B- FM, and EEEE- Extra Wide. You may check their sizing guide to help you find the best wide-width Ariat boots for you.

Should Ariat be tight?

Whatever your boots’ style, there must be enough space for your toes to move comfortably and freely. Your boots must have a snug fit since the boots’ leather may lose when you break in the boots. IF your boots are a little loose upon purchasing, expect them to be ber in the long run.
